Message from President of the Korean Association for Human Resources Development

To the respected members of the Korean Association of Human Resource Development

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the members who have entrusted me with an important position in the association. I will do my best for the development of the Korean Association of Human Resource Development this year.

Building an Inclusive Society in an Era of Great Transformation

We are now living in an era of great transformation. The development and convergence of digital technology are bringing about fundamental changes in all areas, including society, economy, and culture. In this era of change, the Korean Association of Human Resource Development must lead the development of human resource development and strive to strengthen the capabilities of its members. In addition, the Korean Association of Human Resource Development needs to contribute to building an inclusive society by exploring core values that have been recently emphasized in Korea, such as regional development, diversity, and equity.

To this end, I would like to pursue the following goals this year.

First, I will prepare to become an association that explores new knowledge and technologies that keep up with the changing times. The development of digital technology presents new possibilities for human resource development. The Korean Association of Human Resource Development will accept these changes and take the lead in researching new technologies and knowledge, and will contribute to fostering the next generation of talent and academics needed in the future society.

Second, we will become an academic society that supports the innovative thinking and creative activities of our members. In the era of great transformation, creative talent is important. In the era of generative AI, it is important to foster talent with core competencies required for the future society, such as data literacy, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The Korean Association of Human Resources Development will develop educational programs to help members develop their competencies, emphasize qualitative research, and strengthen cooperation with various organizations.

Third, I will create an academic society that can expand participation and communication for our members by expanding its scope and strengthening its substance. To this end, we will diversify our academic conference programs, identify regional human resource development issues, and activate convergence research with other academic fields to solve them.

The Korean Association of Human Resources Development is an academic society where its members are the owners.

We will create an environment where members can freely share ideas and promote friendship, and we will prepare and work hard so that many members can grow together with the Korean Association of Human Resources Development.

Thank you,

March 1, 2025
